CHEKOS was born in Lecce in 1977, at the age of thirteen he moved to Milan, the city where he grew up coming into contact with the underground graffiti scene. Not only can his works be admired both in Italy and abroad, but it should also be added that CHEKOS is the founder of Street Art South Italy, a global platform free of street artists that currently lives in 167B STREET (the 167B in Lecce, a popular neighbourhood of social housing), a physical space that is proposed as a constantly changing exhibition center. The works proposed by the artist attack the strong social contrasts and go to constitute real "paths of historical memory", through gigantographies of faces-symbol of the urban spaces in which it operates.
