Mittenimwald is a Hamburg based street artist. His street name could be translated as "in the middle of the forest", and is a remembrance of the old German saying "some people can't see the wood for the trees". He chose this name when there was a point in his life, when he had lost his job in advertising industry and didn't know what to do. He began with stickers then skipped to stencils and collages. He works always alone as a full-time artist and is not related to any crew.
